The extra weight should help with your lap times too. 30k motor and bugger all weight to push made your car a missile looking for something to wipe out.
Any updates? Has Mike's new body arrived? Any date set for racing?
Proxy series tend to loose credibility with long periods of silence, and this series has too much potential to see go the way of the dodo.
Amen! It has been since the 31st of May since the last race, I think the momentum has been lost and I hope that the interest has not. I was really hoping for good things with this series.

Yes, I have to second that. If another week passes by without action, it will have been 2 months that our cars have been idling in their boxes. All this waiting means a lot of interest will have waned and that will not be good for this proxy, especially as it's in its infant year. May have difficulty attracting more or even returning entries if it is run a second season.
Com'on Paul, let's get up and go!!!
Or do you want Phil to say "I told you so"!
Sorry guys for the delay. Cars are already on their way to Tassie, had to tidy up a couple to make sure they are running good. Manimmal's Escort has the gears adjusted to stop the pinion rubbing against the tyre and overheating the motor. Biggy's chassis now has extra piano wire to stop flexing and mine has had the body mounts made stronger.
Cheers
Paul

Paul, are we looking at the middle of August then for the second race? What track will it be run on?
Do you have a time frame for this series to finish up?
Please do something to get the momentum and the interest back up.
I spent a lot of time and effort building cars for this event like everyone else, we paid our fees and would like to get at least some updates from your end. Your neighbors that ran the Tassie GP series have done an excellent job and Alexis is doing an outstanding job running his leg of the IPS Please take some clues from them. At this time I will not be sending cars to either of your proxy series that you run in the future if they are going to be run like this slow motion train wreck. In the two months that this series has been on hold each entrant with car issues could have had their cars shipped back to them for repairs to be made by the entrant themselves rather than you taking it upon yourself to tinker with the cars.
Cars have arrived in Tassie, after a quick visual inspection they all seem to be in good condition apart from a couple of inserts missing and Chenglaw's A pillar broken.
I will give them a run tomorow night at the Swamp Monster before we start racing our Cartix F1s and Modern Nascars.
Thanks for the update HG. Actually, the Capri's A pillar was broken before it left for the proxy, I repaired it with a piece of plastic glued over the 2 pieces and it looks like it's broke again. If possible, do you think you can spare the time to make a quick repair for me using the same method?
