We need to put the finishing touches on before posting more pictures, but it runs great and is FAST! With the R3 turns it is flat out through the whole straightaway sections, both lanes. That means about 23' of straight. WOW!
Details later.
BTW: Running 19 volts at the PS with 16.8 at the track.
I don't have any cars that could hang on with that kind of voltage. What controllers and resistors do you use? I use Parma economy's with 45 ohms for my Carreras and SCX's on Artin track. My PS only goes up to 12v, but my longest straight is only 6 ft, so it doesn't really matter.
For analog we have Parma 35 & 45 Ohm. For D143, we use the D132 Blackbox and Wireless control system. The stock magnets, in both cases are lowered to within 1/2 to 3/4 mm of the rails.
Short some scenery and guardrail and fencing and runoff areas not all finished, but very raceable. 2 more power taps going in this weekend. Don't know if they will make any difference because there is no discernible power loss, but they are easy, so why not!
The digital system is set up for counter-clockwise racing. Analog can go either way with a 3 minute change to power supply and controllers.
Digital timing and scoring for both systems need to be installed yet, also. using an old fashioned stop watch, we are getting 7 second laps with digital. Probably low 6's for analog.
the grand stand is that where your going to place it??? where it sits I don"t like it...It blocks the racer view (I KNOW just for a second) but never the less
Sorry Chuck.. Just IMO!!!
Dave, the runoffs are either foam board (black) or Jiada 1/32d R1 borders which fit R2 GO!!! track and green painted foam board for the fill in on inside and at the ends.
Mike, actually, everyone is tall enough to see over the grandstand. It was a problem at the old HPR 2.0, so we were more exacting where we placed it at HPR 3.0.
