Hi! new guy from
A little bit about me...
I always liked slot cars racing ever since my older brother had a set (1/32) in his youth i was very young back then about 6-7 years old... anyhow i bought my first set (HO) when i started working at age of 16 & living at my parents house & having half of the basement to myself it wasn't long before i got a really , really long track
Back then i used to buy complete sets & individual tracks & cars at stores like Toys R Us , Zellers just to name a few , i also bought few used sets at basement church sales for really cheap price bought a few from $1.00 to $7.00 that was super low prices
It didn't matter to me which one it was as long it was HO i could make the adapter to fit tracks together , i also mod the start/finish tracks so that each lane had it own power , no more sudden acceleration when the other driver get off the track or slow down when he gets in to your lane
I probably couldn't stand racing without individual power on each lane it makes all the difference in the world

Analog all the way
Now , many years later... i got a house of my own with a good size basement (+ garage) & i always kept my HO sets so i decided like a month ago to get it out again & do as i always wanted , a nice track with scenery & started looking online for some input , thinking to myself that it would be really hard to find something for slot cars as i thought that wasn't popular & only train sets were & that maybe just few hundreds people world wide would to this kind of stuff for slot cars... oh! boy was i in for a wake up call
Anyhow i am now moving on to 1/43 scale & will make a thread this week end about it for now here are some pics & video link to my HO sets you'll see about ~15-20% of it on my pool table i was only testing... a week later i build an 4'x8' table & tested an 4 lanes tracks , now i have 2x 4'x8' tables with an 1/43 track set
Some pics show how i connected my Tyco track with MR1 Marchon so i can use both of them also make some for other tracks like AFX , i also got my controler wires up to 10' feet long , painted some tracks , etc...
BTW: Found out that the best thing to clean up the track rails are Scotch-Brite pads from 3M the blue or the green depends on how dirty your track is & wipe it out with a clean rag work like a charm
EDIT: Forgot to had video'ss & more pictures but since i am new here & this is my first thread it as to check by a mod or the admin...
Anyways hope my other posts for more pictures wont have to wait to long...?
BTW: I have more then 300 feet of tracks & possibly 500 feet or more since i stop counting at 300 back then & i was still buying tracks...
HO Video's...
