OK,got it sorted. Too many places to keep track of orders. 2 email addresses, 4 different forum IMs, with some that have a couple of different message spots.
About 8 places to look for and keep track of orders, no wonder I'm confused.
1) Lose one of the e mail addresses right now.. you don't need it. Really.
2) Publish the e mail you are keeping as a link or signature on all of the forums you frequent.. folks will get the idea that this is the ONLY way to reach you, especially for an order.
3) Don't respond to Personal Messages... as per item 2, folks will learn that there is one way to place an order.. when you give people 10 options you have 20 ways to go crazy
Good suggestions, but, unworkable in the real world unfortunately.
I have a few customers who just can't access my hotmail account. I had an issue today, sending two attachments to someone. One went through ok, the other didn't. I sent that attachment through my other email, and, it went fine.
Once we get the new deal screwed together, we will try and sort something better out.

I have used a service called 'pobox' for six years or more now. It costs $20 a year for the basic service, which filters spam (they send a report each day so you can check if something you want was caught) and you get three email addresses. It is only a forwarding service, you still need an ISP but it means that you can change ISPs over the years and not need to change the email that people use. You could keep one of those emails just for business purposes, use another one for personal stuff, and one for discussion board sign-ups, ebay, or whatever.
