Default Zakspeed capri motor pod

Just thought i would swap original Zakspeed Capri motor mount with a Slot.it 0.5 offset pod and Flat 6 R from my Sauber Merc C9 (with wheels, axle pinion and crown etc.), but now see the difference in shape at the front of mounts....DOH.

Presumably I have to cut the chassis to take the squared off Slot.it mount????

Anyone done this yet PLEASE RESPOND !! With pictures if possible.

From what I see, you do have to make a couple of cuts. But the end of the cut is already done for you. You just have to cut along the long side of the motor pod opening to get the necessary clearance to put the Slot.It pod in place.

I do not see it as being unable to convert it back to the Sideways pod, that should stay intact.

Take photos and show us your conversion.

The places you have to cut are thinner... well defined for this purpose...
