A tip is drill the plastic guardrail first a little undersize then use small brads into posts. Dennis used small brads/ nails I think.

Here is our scalextric track with black borders (R3) and stock guardrails. We attached banners to the guardrails with 3/4 inch double sided mounting tape and built high fencing using coat hanger wire and window screening

Did you print the banners yourself on thicker photo paper ? Or what did you use ?
It looks real nice.

I actually printed the banners on heavy plane paper and then covered them with clear packing tape (for protection). I did not have any photo paper handy. They are holding up well.

We have actually just started on the scenery (not much to see right now). As we get more done we will post some pics of our track (Turkey Ridge Raceway) on a new thread. Right now we only have the track down on a 6'x18' platform with just a little scenery in place. We should have some more pictures in a few weeks.

I made these gaurd rails up today with suggestions from this thread so I thought I'd share. They are made from old O gauge railroad track taken apart. The wood posts are 1/4" hardwood. I notched them and epoxied the rail to the wood then stained the wood dark. Pretty easy and easy to install. I just drilled the holes and pushed the wood in. I didn't glue it in case it needs to be removed later. It's a tight fit so they aren't going anywhere. Pretty realistic looking. I have only installed them on the straight section on the overpass. Haven't mastered bending them for the curves yet. But I will. Hope this helps someone out.
