Default BRM handout motor

Hi Alan...will the BRM handout motor be the Black Label motor?

In the sprint races I will be racing a BRM Toyota (red and white custom paint) and a Scale Auto Porsche RSR (also painted red and white to match the Toyota paint scheme). There wil be no cars matching mine.

Not sure which car Sam and I will be racing in the Endurance races.

Default I should let all know how this Event has happened.

I guess it goes back along way.

First I owe all of this, SCI that is, to one great guy Mike Liptak, on his birthday today I should first mention him.

Without him there would be no www.slotcarillustrated.com

Also without him, and Glenn Orban, BRM probably would not be as popular in the North East.

Without people supporting Scaleracing and BRM it would be impossible to grow the Market.

The first effort by Mike : http://www.slotcarillustrated.com/in..._articleid=105

That was over 5 years ago WOW time certainly flies.

Then with Glenn they created a second article : http://www.slotcarillustrated.com/in...2_articleid=79

Also their enthusiasm for the BRM Brand and Scaleracing helped stir interest in their Club which at the time was a 1/32 scale Club in New Jersey. That Club now mainly promotes 1/24 scale "Scaleracing" and it was their efforts at several Commercial Tracks in New Jersey that got me to put on, with their help and support, this years National Final.

The Club: NJ SCALE RACING their efforts and support for BRM and Scaleauto is what got me to award them the National Final for this year. I certainly hope all the member for this Club are able to come on out and Race in their Scaleracing National Final, they are a premier SCALE Racing club.
I hope they can dust off their 1/32 scale cars as well so we can Showcase all the Brands involved in building Scaleracing in North America.

Since the first reviews for BRM came from The Race Place, the same track we are racing on, I feel we have completed something here. It is only the first lap in the long Race that is re-building Scaleracing in North America but I know NJ SCALE RACING Club has done their share to get this growing.

Come on out and show support join in the Scaleracing experience.

Some have asked here on SCI "Why don't we have big events like they do in Europe" The answer is "We do"

See you at the 6th Annual Scaleracing National Finals brought to you by Arrow, Avant Slot, BRM, Scaleauto, Slot.it, Scaleracing LLC, The Race Place, NJ SCALE RACING Club and Mike Liptak and Glenn Orban. I would also like to thank Robert Holt for his efforts to help make this Event happen and Jerry and all involved at The Race Place..

SEE YOU AT THE RACES.

Scaleracing coming to a Track near you, start a trend tell a friend, heck bring a friend!!!

UPDATE AUGUST 8th 2012. Now confirmed for Saturday after the Manufacturers Challenge Final.

BRM Sprints and Scaleauto 1/24th Sprints.

Enter the Full Entry Pass ticket and these races are included for free till Saturday August 11th, will then have their own fee added. Your car will need to pass tech with a NEW unmodified Set of rear tires in each class. Motors will be dyno'd.

If I'm only interested in racing 1/24 Scaleauto can I just hang around until that race starts and then pay the fee for that race? I'll keep quiet, even help out some (can't run errands because I'm not familiar with the area).

Default We need people to enter to set schedule.

Please confirm if you want to race.

The price on the BRM and Scaleauto Sprints is included in the Full Ticket till this Saturday when they will have their own Entry Fee.

It really helps if people can confirm with me they are entering. It helps me plan the schedule and also shows others that people are coming. Let's make this a big event.

We still need Teams for the Endurance Race to confirm and enter. I will update the post showing entries to date.

See you at the Races.

And Thanks to you too Alan! It has been your vision for BRM and SCALE racing that brought us these beautiful cars. I too cannot believe that it has been 5 years since Mike Liptak and i test drove those first 2 BRM Porsches at The Race place on The Red Lightning track. And next month we we hold our first Nationals, on the same track! And i still race that (somewhat battle scarred, but still going!!!) BRM Porsche 962. And- it still works great! Time for a new motor, i'll go with the pink can Racing motor.

All of this enthusiasm for BRM racing (and collecting) has grown into NJ SCALE Racing. We have every type of slot car racer join in for the fun with us from newbies to 1/32 club racers, commercial track racers, vintage club racers, and a pro racer (Matt Bruce), from pre-teens to adults of all ages. And at our monthly club races we have plenty of onlookers, with lots of interest in wanting to know more about the types of cars we are racing. Since we started racing BRM, first it was at club Carrera tracks, then at The Race Place, and now at 3 different commercial tracks in NJ. So i see continued growth in both NJ SCALE Racing as well as SCALE racing throughout the USA.

And i expect that our core group of monthly club racers will all attend the Nationals weekend race, along with many of our racer friends from the tri-state area. Really excited about the big race in September

Default number of teams

Hey Alan...I was curious about how many teams we have confirmed for the National Championship Endurance Races? I know we haev kind of set the max number of teams at 8. Are we there yet?

This is going to be a great event and it would be a shame for anyone to miss out just because they waited too long.

Default updating entries Endurance races still open.

I am updating the list of those who have entered.

Several have bought Pit Passes but entered no races. I really need to get some indication of races you want to run in. The Pit Pass is just a practise entry, not a Race Entry.

More as I update.

Default race entries

Hi Alan...I think I already posted my races, but here they are again:

I am racing in 1/24 scales classes only. I will race in the BRM and Scale Auto Sprint Races on Saturday. I am also racing in the Megane Sprint Race.

I will also race in the BRM and Scale Auto Endurance Races. My teammate for those races is Sam Barbose.

Default Please enter races.

OK sorted out most of the entries so far.

If you want to enter a race please get your entry in. Right now we have only one complete confirmed Team.

If you want to run in Scaleauto and BRM Sprints enter the Full entry it will work out cheaper than entering separate races ( till the end of today )

Please remember you have to have a Pit Pass for each day ( $10.00 a day ) or $25.00 for the 3 Day pass. If you plan on running the Endurance Races and Sprints either scale on Saturday it is cheaper to buy the Full Pass at $105.00 than buy separate entries for Sprints and Endurance and Pit Pass even if you only come for Saturday and Sunday.

Pit Pass for 2 days = $20.00 Entry for Endurance races ( 1/2 a Team ) $50.00. Entry for 1/32 scale Sprints ( 1/24 scale Sprints included till end of today ) $50.00. So that is $120.00 the Full Ticket is $105.00.

If you already bought another entry ticket we will allow that amount to go towards the $105.00 full ticket.

We need complete Teams, with Team name ideally. Also Car you intend to run with car number if custom and decoration if a Scaleauto made body.

Default thanks for the detail

Alan...your math breakdown of the fees makes sense. I will upgrade my previous entry fee to the full ticket. Since I am now paying for the entire weekend, I may prepare and race a 1/32 on Saturday just to get warmed up for the 1/24th races.

The only car I have that would work is the Slot.it Porsche (Boss Livery). Is that to be an in-line chassis set-up, or is sidewinder allowed? The rules are a bit unclear to me.

Default Sounds great Joe.

Slot.it Group C is an in-line class, with only 2 pod types allowed. The issue that seems to confuse is that you can use the Evo type chassis which can be set up angle-winder but although you can do that you cannot for this race.

Why/how because the only legal pods are in-line.

Not really confusing, only that people read the angle-winder chassis ( but without a pod it is what? )

Slot.it Chassis since the Evo can be set up in-line, side-winder or angle-winder, but not for this race.

In-line only please!!!!

Default scale auto sprint signup

Reeg (Jim) I serached the postings and did not see a link to forward to you to only sign-up for the Scale Auto Sprint Race. Seems like there was every other sign-up link except the 1/24 sprint races. I am sure Alan will reply to your posting with the link.

Looking forward to racing with you.

Joseph

Default Sprint Races added.

OK we have added in the 1/24th Scale Sprints as their own seperate races.

If you only want to run 1/24th scale you can still get the complete Entry Pass for 1/24th same deal $105.00. This does not then include 1/32 scale races. Just state which you want 1/32 scale or 1/24th scale.

Or you can add on to your entry just the races you want.

Remember you need a Pit Pass for each day unless you by the Full Pass.
