At the end of the series I'll put out a video of all the best racing shots I got on the variety of tracks we race on. These cars are a LOT of fun. Some people might not consider it real racing, but we sure do. We're getting equivalent lap times on these tracks as NSR classics.

Default Round 4 carrera can am masenchamps

ROUND 4 CARRERA CAN AM SPA MASENCHAMPS

It started out a night like any other race night but I could sense something a
little weird . It was like I kept hearing Genesis , Land of Confusion . And by
the end of the night I was

We started the night with the 4th stage of the Rally series . With no stop and
go boxes we went to pen and paper and I have to admit Blair and Tim did a
great job , though we only went down to the thousandth of a second . I took
the sheet home , tallied the numbers (I should have placed myself a lot higher).
At the end of the math test ,Tim not only won the race but knocked me off the
top spot in the series standings . Good Job ! As it was my car didn't have the
NINCO hops the motor was hopping up and down in the pod . Stripped the crown
but I was able to replace it.

To Tim , To Blair and To Vic

http://slotcarillustrated.com/portal...1&d=1343239442

On to the IROC race , Blair rolled out 3 Pioneer Mustangs and they proved to
be a great choice . Racing was close and a lot fun , the cars just seemed to
love this track . It was a hard fought battle and I wish I could tell you where
everyone ended up . But it was a night of confusion and exporting the results
to my thumb drive the results were lost . All we can remember are the top 3.
So in our weak attempt to make things right . The top three will get their points
and everyone else will receive 4th place points ( just tightens everything up )

To Tim , To Pat and to Vic

After a half hour of trying to recover the IROC results and hoping they would
end up somewhere . We moved on to the Can Am race . Once again the Carrera
cars loved the wood . On Blairs track it was a gas with lots of close quarters
racing no one ever had it in the bag . Just when you thought you had one ,off
you go . Tim took his 3rd race of the night and Roger had his highest place in
the series and highest place for a Lola so far . We did managed to export the
results to Greg's external drive and end the night on a positive note.

To Tim , To Roger and To Blair

http://slotcarillustrated.com/portal...1&d=1343241235

Again a great night of racing , thanks to Blair , I wish we could see you
a bit more often .

Oops , July 30th , is actually FOSSUMHIEM !

Thanks, Pat. Yeah, it was a tough night, but no less fun than any other night at an EMSA race.

I don't think it was the computer, Blair. I'm pretty sure it was a bug in Dale's software. It was a strange set of circumstances that lead to the loss, which I'm sure we won't repeat.

Where's the results from Roger's? I had my best run of the series so far at Roger's.

Default ROUND 5 Carrera Can Am Fossumheim

ROUND 5 CARRERA CAN AM FOSSUMHEIM

Monday at about 4:30 pm I received a call from Roger asking about the location
of the evenings race . My reply was 1/32 slot car , why do you ask ? Because the
schedule say's it's here at my house he replied . Again , Oops . I'm only human
Well I made several quick call's and most the club was way ahead of me . Got to the
track and everyone was present . Way to be on top of it guys .

Once again Alan and the Cookie Monster joined us for the nights activities . Roger
planed ahead and single Oreo's aren't as tempting as the double stuff . That is to
say Trevor's input or intake was quite under control .

Stage 5 of the EMSA Rally Series was interesting with almost everyone spending a
little time on one's roof and with the long straight at Fossumheim , some more than
once . This week it was Greg on the top step of the podium . Tim stretched his lead
in the standings and Vic closed the gap with me .

To Greg , To Tim and To Vic

http://slotcarillustrated.com/portal...1&d=1343881239

In the IROC Race we ran Rogers Slot-It Alfa's . Running F22's with lot's of miles on
them , things were a little slick at times . When in lane 4 you had to be careful of
the rumble curb at the start and end of the straight's . Tim's winning his second
straight race in the series ties Vic for the lead . With 3rd , 4th and 5th within one
point of each other . This one will go down to the wire .

To Tim , To Greg and to Vic

http://slotcarillustrated.com/portal...1&d=1343880080

In the Can Am race things got interesting for me as my car kept leaping out of the
slot on the straightaways . Maybe because I thought I was racing at Alan's ( I'll
be ok .) Anyway it was good to see a little shakeup in the standings . Vic pretty much
dominated the race and John Q stood on the podium for the first this series way
to go . Once again Vic and Tim are fighting for the title as 3rd , 4th and 5th are separated
by one point .

http://slotcarillustrated.com/portal...1&d=1343881605

Thanks to Roger for the quick recovery over my slip up .

Next week over to Alan's at 1/32 Slotcar I think

Yes, thank you for report, and always your wisdom Great Master Sensei Pat. And next Monday the Grasshopper, will try to out race and be more cunning on the track, just like a Jedi. And I predict the Porsches will dominate the race at Alan's, 132slotcar track.

Default Round 6 Carrera Can Am 1/32 Slot Car

ROUND 6 CARRERA CAN AM 1/32 SLOT CAR

It was one of the hottest nights of the year as EMSA made it's way to
1/32 Slot Car for Round 6 of the series . Once again Alan and Trevor
had a chance to join the fray , 2/3's of it for Alan anyway . Alan had
a great showing in the 2 races he took part in .

Stage 6 of the rally series . We ran John Q's MSC Ford RS 2000 . It
really had a chance to stretch it's legs on the Windsor . With a 38
second gap between the top and bottom of the finishers . The areas
of concern seemed to be the esses , coming on the main straight and
braking at the end of it . Alan led the way by over 3 seconds to his
closest competitor . Tim's lead was cut down to just 7/10's of a sec.
The Rally Finally will be run at Greg's next week .

http://www.slotcarillustrated.com/po...1&d=1344440469

We had a bit of a shake up in the IROC Race . We usually run Alan's
Scaleauto 1/24th Porsche's . This week Vic Brought his Fly racing 911's
and they turned out to be a kick and a challenge as well . We're not
sure if it was the lanes or the cars but in a couple lanes (blue and yellow)
the performance was way down . They did get a little better as the race
went on . Alan lead the way in the IROC race as well . Then decided to
give us all a brake sitting out of the series race .

In the Carrera race it was quite the battle , not only the cars but the
temp as well . The cars seemed to like the track , except for Alex's
Lola . It was jumping out most of the night . the 917's were very fast
as they stretched their legs down the Windsor's Main Straight . Most
cars were able to get slowed down in time to make the corner , most !
My CAM 2 917 is fast but has no brakes at all . When your letting off
the trigger before the scoring sensor and still coming out in the esses
what you gona do . This was the last race of the series and it was the
closest race of the 6 we ran . Vic and Tim both ran 137 laps in round
one and 138 laps in the second . Vic wins the race by 20 feet but Tim
walks away with the series Championship . Great job to all of you .

Thanks to Alan for a hot night of racing , Lots of fun to
What was it I saw Alan drinking Your secret's safe with us

Next week to Greg's For Rally Stage 7 and a Digital IROC

Default One Of The Most Competitive Series Ever

Just a quick note out to all of you on what this Series really was . Looking
back at the race results I was amazed at how close the lap totals were for
each race . This is what it's all about , racing equal cars on different types
of track . I think it's working

Having 7 of our 8 regulars racing to the Podium . We even had a race where
4th place had 4 more laps than the winner . Great job by all of you .

Imagine coming to a race , believing you have a chance .

Like I said , I think it's working .

Default Round 7 Rally and IROC Rainier Raceway

ROUND 7 WRC RALLY AND SUMMER IROC

The boys made their way up to Rainier Raceway for the last round of the Rally and IROC
series . Myself I was on the other side of the state moving my oldest to Pullman and WSU .
It was a small group and it looks like the home boy's dominated the action .

In the last stage of the Rally series Greg led the way by 5 seconds over his nearest
competitor . With that performance he moved up to the 3rd step of the podium for
the series final standings . I'd have to say the rally segment was a lot of fun , racing
the clock as to each other puts something completely different in the mix .

To Greg , To Vic and to Tim

Wow lot's of numbers huh !

Great idea Tim , Can't wait for the next series to start .

In the IROC I'm not even sure what they ran but like I said the Auburn boys dominated
the race . IROC Digital Had to be interesting , I don't want to miss the next one .
With another win , Greg once again jumped up to the 3rd step of the podium in the final
standings . Again a great night for the Gaub's

To Greg , To Alex and To Vic .

Next week is going to be an off week , with the Gaub's and Tim being on vacation . The 27th
will be a fun night BBQ and Pot Luck at Tim's . So the first race of the NINCO CLASSICS will
be Tuesday September 4th at Patlanta

In the absence of a series race on the 20th , I'll be having a race, test , IROC or just
a fun night at Patlanta . Did I mention the race room has AC . Come one come all
and enjoy a nice cool night of racing . Open to anyone . Bring your Ninco Classics and
NSR GT's .
