This could be old news, it appears SCX has updated it's web-site, but is no longer supporting a online message board/forum section. Could be just off-line, but I could find no links on the updated web-site for forum discussions... If this is old news sorry for being so late... Just hoping the new bosses in charge of SCX would reconsider the importance of open discussion about there products... .02
It must be out starting today, because I was over there yesterday and it was up and running.
Now that being said, there is very little activity in the 1/43 section, so I don't frequent it much.
Hopefully, SCX will get back in the swing of things and get us some cars.
Cjent, will you carry the SCX Cars IF they come out?
This was posted by AhabDarab on 8-6-12 here in another forum... The last part of the quote pertains to the SCX homepage and forum. I guess the new owners of SCX have decided to go in a different direction, but I hope the change is temporary... .02 RCalan
There was an internal issue between the host of our forum's servers and Google/Google Chrome and some Firefox versions. Internet Explorer was not affected.
There was no virus, only software that was not working properly.
I know this because I, being the Administrator of SCX Worldwide, was coordinating a fix with Invasion Power Services and Google when the new owners of SCX decided to take SCX Worldwide offline.
I hope that clears up the issue's source. I guess it does not matter now, but that is the answer.
Just to clear the air regarding SCXWW; as of 8/1/2012, it has been officially shut down by SCX as a cost savings measure based on what they may have perceived as a redundant expense. The SCX Worldwide address is now re-directing to the scx.es site for now until they feel it may be unnecessary for it to do so.
Obviously, many of us were unhappy about the shutdown since the forum section of SCXWW was the focus of its many users. In any case, most of us are / were already here on SCI and I'm sure we'll do what we can to rebuild some of the material lost (I personally kept many of the postings I created that I feel would be beneficial).
As to the information that was quoted by Ahab in the previous post, that had nothing to do with the shutdown. That was just a comment that Ahab made regarding a fictitious malware attack to the SCXWW forum a few months back which is obviously no longer relevant since the site is now shut down.
