Thumbs up Paint Removal

I found this product when looking through a model car mag.

I did some research and it will not damage the plastic or resin and for about $40.00, it's a steal. They say it is messy, so use a large box. I ordered mine today.

Kind of interesting that it will etch metal and glass but not damage plastic or resin. Anxious to hear how that happens.

From what I read in MCM Sept.2012. Removing paint from models has a lot to do with the pressure you put through the gun and with any product, you got to try it on a piece of scrap plastic Personally I like Acetone, but the doctor said I can't use that anymore

Have you tried a bath of 91% isopropyl alcohol?

Now that sounds like a party. Being a recovering alcoholic this could put me over the top.
Oh you mean just the body I actually use a stripper called scalecoat that works excellent.

I purchased and tried a similar product from Micro Mark. I found it messy, took some time,it did work, and did not harm the plastic.

I prefer using the 91% isopropyl alcohol. No real mess, and and in my opinion, works better.

Looks like an interesting product. I can think of a few specific problems this could help me with. Wonder if you can mask off certain areas to protect finishes like chrome and glass which may not be removable without causing further damage.
Does 91% isopropyl have any effect on chrome parts?
I usually use castrol super clean but it strips chrome almost instantly so the chrome bits need to be removed first.

I like the idea of having a stripper take the paint off.
