Default Ford GT 40 Mk II

Hi All,
Just finished up another back of the garage project.
This one is actually a livery from a GT 40 MkI, but I liked it so much I made it on the Mark II.
It is a RD/Slot-Rev resin body. Only minimal trimming to fit the chassis.
SCX Porsche chassis, home made decals and interior.

Now the #1Gulf has a partner...

Thanks!
They are incredibly hard to come by.
This one was recently bought from another member that happened to have a few extra.
If it wasn't for that, I'd be up the creek.
I hope SCX comes out with some more cars that have a similar chassis.
I like to work with them. They're comparatively inexpensive and run well!

Hey Bill,
Thanks!
What! you don't have a GT40, yet?
Would you make it with a Dslot?

I'd need to see how close the DSlot chassis is to fitting. I think that guy still has a couple of those SCX Porsche chassis left.

Bill,
The SCX Porsche chassis fits amazingly well, right under the GT40 body.
If you are super critical, you might want to shorten the axles a bit to get the tires inside the body. I'm OK with not doing that.
If using the DSlot, the 917 DSlot chassis (ss?) should do the trick. I haven't tried, but I know SCX Porsche chassis fit wonderfully under my EF 917, and it is a match for the DSlot 917.

If the 917 chassis fits, all I need to do is order the running gear. X-motor, gears, bearings, tires and wheels. OH, 1st I need to find a body! LOL I see a lot of Ford GTs not GT40s.

Thanks Mickey!

Bill,
The body I have, Mk II, is a Ranch Design that is now being made by Trey at Slot-Rev.
Give him a holler. You can order straight from his website, if they are back from vacation.

Yeah well I'll give Trey's a try when he get's back(you have a PM at HRW), but for my personal satisfaction I bought this Starter GT40 resin this morning. I'm hoping I can fit a DSlot43 chassis in some configuration under it.
