Question for "theroad87":

Is that a scoop of corned beef hash in the middle of your layout?

Doesn't that kind of depend on the grade of gray you use?

No, it's an HO RR resin junk pile I rescued from the clearance bin at our local HT.

It's destined for my idea to eventually to build a small 4-lane Figure 8 w/ 4-lane intersection (not an overpass), set in a junkyard w/ scrap piles and junk car stacks (flattened & weathered Hot Wheels). Was going to use AFX track w/ (very) 2-lane modified intersections, but will probably route in MDF instead. Suspect routing the thing easier than the track mods.

Ironically, I have a similar HO auto junkyard of my own!

ps-- had that same idea re: flat 8. I decided it would take four intersections, a bunch of jumpers, and finally screwing/glueing it all down to something, perhaps a piece of masonite.

Like anything else, given enough time and a little cash, I believe it could be done.
