Default King Cobra - Resin

Howdy-- I'm looking to buy a resin Shelby King Cobra kit ---that was once offered by a SCI advertiser or ex-advertiser. It is a model of the car as it ran in 1964 with Parnelli Jones at Riverside.

Anybody got a lead???

Thanks,

Steve Cleere

Thanks Munter --but that's the 1967 version (as pictured on another thread..) The '64 car looks kind of like the Monogram one on steroids and is dark blue with white stripes --

Not resin but Revell and MRRC both think they have 1964 King Cobras. Tamiya has a body in 1:24 scale. Of course, this may not be at all helpful.

The orange 1964 version is made my MRRC , body is plastic not resin. Body only is on sale from Pendles but I am sure you may still find some RTR compete cars availabe from sponsors, just search under MRRC.

The MRRC model is close to the Parnelli Jones model (some minor differences vertical exhausts beside motor, PJ had horizontal out the back...etc). I painted mine to look like his Riverside winner.

The 1:24 Tamiya is a different car nothing like the Jones car.

Default Almost there...

Thanks guys-- and Irco -- looks great --that's the one I want to do. The resin was an 'adaptation' of the Monogram with the exhaust and rear end work redone --that's why I was looking for it!!

Best,

Steve

Alan-

Thanks, but that body is the "Lang Cooper" reworked by Pete Brock after Shelby sold them. This is resin and represents the team cars as of '64 Riverside --as per Irco's drawings --
