Just a quick note..I am still looking for Spirit Racers address. If any one can help me it will be much appreciated. All other cars are packed and headed out. Thanks for all the help. Also MRollingThunder you might want to wait as you will soon be the recipient of a beautiful Datsun 240z body which comes to the series from our sponsor Rixvette. Thanks to him and congrats to you.. Run it with pride!!
Ray M.
Ray, you could send Spirit Racer a PM, here, but he actually hasn't been online since May. Austin checks in daily though, and can do no doubt assist; I have his email addy if necessary, same thing for Takashi (Slotracing Hawaii) if you require it.
Alfa Romeo TZ2 #116 is back in the barn, along with some nice prize items (guides and lead wire) which look very useful. Thanks Ray! And thanks to the whole Can Am Proxy crowd.

Reason: . . . *mumble mumble* . . .
The Capri has arrived, probably dead last, just like it raced! It came with a pair of great guide flags and a beautiful resin 240z body...Was this supposed to be included or did I accidentally get someone's prize?
It's a beauty..and unbelievably light...you guys wouldn't be trying to give me a hint about switching cars would you?
Anyway, I can't wait to get started on this years car! Anyone who raced the Capri feel free to chime in with suggestions on what to do about the Capri being so tippy and twichy!
OOPs, missed the earlier post! I had no idea! Thanks for the Datsun and guides...I might put that Datsun to use, so much lighter and lower than the Capri...it might solve the tipping problem!
My two cars also arrived back today. Kind thanks to the organizers and sponsors who threw in the swag- wheels and tire adhesive. Someone must have ESPN or something- I was about to post looking for pointers on what to use for the glue and true process.
Checked the mail and was surprised by a box containing old friends.
Two care worn Porsches and a nest of Slot Car Corner goodies, including, but not limited to, a bottle of the famous IC - 2000 Tire Glue. Now I am set to prepare rubber with the best of them..
Thanks again to Ray, SCC, and other hosts and organisers. See you in the new season.
Cheers, Chris
P.s Found the reason for the chatter on the 917. The rear body mount post had broken away from the chassis proper, but was still held loosely in place where it was glued to some Hi-density foam vibration damper.
