Default New Racer stuff

Gotta bunch of new Racer stuff today to test. Racer's new line of rubber tires for plastic and wood tracks,a new chassis for the Racer Capri, and a lexan interior for the Capri.

Two different formulas-three different compounds-and three different sizes....lots of testing to do over the next couple days.Glad to see another quality brand of rubber tires to hit the market. I'll be testing the tires designed for plastic on GT Slots 4 lane Carrera. Any of the local guys interested in trying these tire-this wensday night I'll be hosting a "test night" at my track. The chassis is a new "flexy" chassis. Have to see what that does for the car on wood-my track tends to like a stiff car,but we'll see.

Best in the "Racer" area.

Presumably the "flexy" chassis is for bumpy plastic tracks, as against a hard chassis for smooth wood.

Tyres look interesting, more info please, though I am about to try mine with SC2009 20.5 x 11 foams that JUST fit under the arches !! Could be interesting with the Flat 6 R and Slot.it pod with 1.00mm offset, and Slot.it wood guide.

Hi Racerdoug,
any news about new Sideways materials testing ?
Curious to know about it in order to compare with results we had after testing in Italy.
Regards, Marco

Hey Marco, the local guys that got a chance to try the flex chassis liked it on the plastic track, but as we run mostly on wood the stiffer chassis is preferred. The tires work great-the "Hi Grip" softs are the best rubber tire on my wood track. They also worked excellent on a local Scalextric track. Not a fan of Ninco track and the ruff surface but the "Pro Speed" med. and softs worked as good as any of the other rubber tire I compared them to.

Default New Treads for re-treads

Would any of the new types fit some of the older cars like the 250P's and the 250 LM's? Mine could use some more grip (and less weight!!!)

Thanks!

Steve
