I always thought it was an immutable law of nature, applicable to the known universe (with the possible exceptions of CT and NH), that slot cars run on 12Volts DC.

The track voltage was what ever the battery put out, usually between 12 and 13. Volts, it's only these new fangled power supplies that give anything else!
Might go for a 512. Just talking now, so keep your hair on, what about sponge tyres? Scaleauto, NSR and probably Slotit too for all I know do make some and they create a lovely handling car. Will they be persona non grata so to speak?
I think we can accommodate you Post # 80 has reserved numbers listed.

Thanks! I have a std Fly Capri (Wurth) that is converted to Evo3 style and runs well so far.
I also have a BMW 3.5CSL, similarly 'updated' but haven't tested yet. If the BMW doesn't work I'll send the Capri with a different number (stock Capri Wurth is #2 which is taken already, so I' 'll stick a different number on it)

nsr makes a 14mm wide tire, #5222 is the supergrip and 5223 is the ultragrip, along with a special wheel #5006 for use with vanquish can am cars. i was considering buying it, but then i was concerned with NSR's slightly undersized axles and how that would affect my plan for a scratrchbuilt car.
