Race Night in Omaha

Had 6 racers show up last night at Bill Bender's home. First race were the Corvettes;
Bill Silknitter came in 1st with total of 101 laps and top lap time of 4.847.
Jim Silknitter came in 2nd with total of 99 laps and top lap time of 4.987.
Terry came in 3rd with a total of 92 laps and top lap time of 5.150
Bill Bender came in 4th with a total of 81 laps and top lap of 5.474
Randy came in 5th with a total of 79 laps and top lap of 5.046

Second Heat were Stockers of 60's
1st Place Bill S. 93 laps with 4.981 lap speed
2nd Place Randy 86 laps with 5.113 lap speed
3rd Place Jim S. 82 laps with lap speed 5.839
4th Place Bill B. 72 laps with lap speed 5.721
5th Placa Terry 67 laps with lap speed 5.458

Third Heat were the 70 Camaro's
1st Place Bill S 85 laps with lap speed 5.98
2nd Place Jim S 84 laps with lap speed 4.902
3rd Place Terry 82 laps with lap speed 6.251
4th Place Randy 74 laps with lap speed 6.599
5th Place Bill B 68 laps with lap speed 5.98

Next race will be at Terry's house in Gretna, hope to see you all there for another fun night of racing.

I'm glad you Omaha guys are posting your race nights here. There might be a time when us westerners can come over, so it's good to know when you'll be racing.

Race night was at Bill Silknitter's new track. We had 6 racers show up again, but we are expecting more as year goes on.

First Race of three rounds was IROC 1/32nd DP Cars
Bill S: 1st Place with laps of; 29, 29 & 29= 88 laps
Tom: 2nd Place with laps of; 30, 27 & 30= 87 laps
Brandon:2nd Place with laps of; 30, 29, & 28= 87 laps
Randy: 3rd Place with laps of; 30, 29 & 26= 85
Jim S: 4th Place with laps of; 30, 27 & 27= 84 laps
Bill B: 5th Place with laps of; 28, 30 & 25= 83 laps

Second Race of three round of IROC 1/24th Nascar
Bill S: 1st Place with laps of; 30, 30, & 30= 90
Brandon: 2nd Place with laps of; 30, 29, & 27= 86
Had a two way tie for 3rd Place:
Bill B: with laps of 28, 30, & 25= 83
Randy: with laps of 30, 27, & 26= 83
Jim S. 4th Place with laps of 27, 27, & 27= 81

As you can see by the totals it was close racing all night long. We want to thank our host Bill S for supplying th hot dogs, buns and soda. We also want to thank Randy for bringing delicious desert of Carrot cake and cupcakes.

Next race is Thursday the September 27th either at Jim Silknitter's or Terry's in Gretna. If I find out that there is a change I will post in plenty of time.

too bad that home track advantage was in effect.

you forgot to mention that one of those 1/24 cars was built on site. my eye still hurts from the acid I rubbed in it at some point that evening.

Gotta get his timing sysytem set-up soon so we don't have to flip the switch at 30 all the time.
