Default Mgb

I have been quite insipired by the great comments recieved in the TR 4 posting so I have built an Airfix MGB and taken it to the same point as the TR 4.

Any and all comments/questions are more than welcome.

Thanks for looking.

John

that back end is way too high... a small british sports car was suppose to be almost level all the way a long the body. seen a fair few of these are ace little cars

I had some time to paint the MGB. I thought that British Racing Green would be an appropriate colour.

This car was sitting unfinished so I thought I would do some work on it.

I am just getting back into the swing of things after some surgery so it felt good to do some slot car work.

I hope to get more done tomorrow.

Thanks for looking

Nice work John...they are small aren't they.
My one and only front motor mounted chassis went under mine.

Thanks for the kind comment Munter!

Yes they are small cars.

Love the colour you chose for your MGB.

Your front motor chassis looks really nice.

Does it run as good as it looks?

Thanks

John

Here's my version. It has a PCS-32 under it, BWA wheels and inserts--runs great. The windshield is popped up in the 3rd photo to show how it is mounted.

Hi John,

Another good subject, your car looks very neatly put together and will go well with your TR4's.

The other B's look good too, I took some inspiration from Tom's car when I was researching mine below.

Thanks,

Pete

Wow, great builds!

Tom, love the look of your MGB and the way you mounted the windscreen. How does the car run?

Pete, your MGB looks great. What type of chassis do you have under the body?

I had some time this morning so I thought that I would get some decals on the car and a clear coat.

Here are some photos of the car so far on the track:

The next step is to sculpt a driver. My wife has asked for this to be her "club racer" to go against our daughter's TR-4 and "my" TR-4 so I will be creating a female figure to put in the driver's seat.

Thanks again for the great contributions to this thread and thanks for looking.

The decals sure add something and now a driver will complete the look.

Thanks kitman. Nice builds all around guys. The car runs pretty well and is a hoot to drive. It won't set any speed records but it's pretty competitive in it's class. Nice to see I inspired
your build, Pete. Very nice job.
