Default Track design

Looking for some track design help if someone has a little time on their hands. I tried designing a track plan but I could not navigate the software very well. I have a GT Heroes set with pit lane, and digital counter, as well as an extension set designed for the set. I was hoping someone could come up with a good layout that would fill out my 8X16 table incorporating the layout that came with my set.
Thank you.

In addition to the GT Heroes set, which curve pieces come in the extension set?

The extension set has 2 straights 2 lane change sections, and 4 1/60 degree track sections. It is part # 26853.
Thanks for your help

DO NOT buy the extention packs. IMHO, they are a waste. nobody needs or wants X track. The R1 curves are everywhere. Buy what you need. Here are some track plans i list on my page.

This uses parts from your race set and your pit set, plus 12pcs of R2 curve (two boxes), 6pcs of R3 curve (one box), 12pcs of R4 curve (one box), and a number of extra straight pieces (whether you add plain straights or special straights). Green area is 16x8.

Note that there isn't much savings, if any, in using more straight pieces in an effort to make use of the R1 curves in sets. Big curves are very good value for building layouts.

In this picture, the 12 R4 curve pieces list for about $46 at CincySlots. The 7 straights on the left are about $7 ea ($49 total), in boxes of 4pcs. (not counting the short R1 curve that usually doesn't come in sets.)

I think he was asking to come up with something using the track he has.

Here is my layout. Mostly R1 curves except for the R2 banking on one end. It is roughly 14.5 ft long and 5.5 wide.

Good luck,

Jeff
