Impressive # 7:14, that's half a minute quicker than the XJ220 that held the record from 1992 -2000.

Ford built a street legal car powered by a 1.0 liter (?) engine that lapped in 7:22!?! It's basically a street legal Formiula Ford, but still impressive. The engine is a version of the new 1.0 Ecoboost recently released in the European Focus that gets about 50mpg and won the engine of the year. We should get it next year in the Fiesta. I may actually buy an American car again?!

Very nice. Best get the 'ring testing in before it is closed as I understand from a previous post that the owner is going bankrupth.

Is it just me, or does that look like a Ferrari F430 of a few years back, albeit a spyder and not a coupe.

7:14.......not bad. At $900K you would figure it would run a little quicker.

I'll have a ZR1 for $80K on the used market and you can keep the 5 Seconds.

Amen and pass the ammo. You sound like an old friend of mine in your backyard. Although he's a Ford man, I'm sure he'd expouse the same views.
900K buys me alot of slot cars among other vices.....

That works only so long as the conditions are perfect...

High technology is spendy. Don't forget, this is a hybrid. Just a few years ago, people would have never considered 7:14 possible from a hybrid.

I wonder what a ZR1 could run with all the same equipment but a proper quick flappy paddle gearbox fitted???? 7.15 perhaps???

All that money from Maybe the Worlds Best Automotive manufacturer and they are still 17 Seconds off the official Record set by some Tiny British company with some junk car called the SR8?!?!?

Porsche really needs to step up their Game a little..... I am a little embarrassed for them.

I haven't seen any times for ZR1 and SR8 hybrids yet to compare them...

I wonder why that is...?

I give them kudos for doing that with a hybid.

As for the body... paint it red and that thing is a Ferrari!
