Default Help needed with DS300

I've just started using DS300 as sensors for PC Lapcounter. All works well, EXCEPT sometimes the beep comes on and stays on. Haven't been able to nail down the situation that triggers.

The manual for the DS300 says the 0-9 key is also used to deactivate the beeper, but doesn't say HOW to do it? Any ideas?

Default DS 300 sound

With the DS 300 running press the 0-9 button and sound will switch off. Press it again with the timer running and it will switch back on.

Sound on constantly could be another issue though. I would mention this to PC Lap Counter if the button setting do not resolve your issue.

Thanks Alan.

Used the system for the first time 'in anger' in the layout's inaugural race yesterday.

Per your (and others) instructions, turned off the sound by pressing that button. That was fine, no sounds at all from DS300. Then, suddenly in the middle of the races, I mean 6 or 7 heats into 12 heat races, the fast lap beep would start, then the extended beep that would not stop until the end of a heat.

I have posted on the PC Lapcounter forum, but have received no ideas/suggestions.

I'm very likely wrong, but as I understand it it would seem to be a DS300 problem not PC Lapcounter. The signals originate from DS300 and are sent to PC Lapcounter. I don't think PC Lapcounter sends any signals at all to DS300. But again, I very well could be wrong.
