Default Lindberg kits scale is wrong

Just bought these two kits and i'm very disappointed because they are 1/43 scale or something like that, definitely not 1/32. How is it possible? I mean these are scale models, not toys without a scale. "Authentic 1/32 scale models" as they say!

Some Palmer kits from back in the day have similar issues.
Two 'cudas labeled 1/32 scale were 1/24 or so. All the 1/43 scale guys should be scooping up the Lindberg street muscle kits.

It's not just that the scale is wrong, it's wrong in every direction. I got a Buick Century and it was about 1:32 in width, 1:38 in length and about 1:40 in height. On its own it looks a little strange but I put it next to my Dodge Monaco and you could see how bad it was.

Same issue with their Chapparal 2F. Seemed like 1/43 to me.

Package designers don't understand scale. The marketing guy told them to put "1/32" on the box because he heard that slot cars are in that scale.

Well, someone from Lindberg approved the design and the marketing. This is really misrepresentation.

This is true. Here's the Lindberg site:
http://www.lindberg-models.com/

and here is the e-mail and phones page where you can complain to two different people about inaccurate scale claims on the package:

Tim and Olivia are waiting for you!
