Well, I'm back from vacation...that's the "good" news...the bad news is that while we were up in the mountains, my son-in-law developed what we thought was a sinus infection but what turned out to be shingles in an eye nerve. This was after spending the last couple days in a lot of pain, flying back to New York with a 2 year old and then having to go to the emergency room in the middle of the night because the pain was finally unbearable. My daughter says he had to be admitted, put on a cocktail of all kinds of meds, including morphine, and is now at least having "less" pain. It also appears, at this time, he doesn't have his cornea affected too much (which, we have come to learn, can be serious with this condition and can cause loss of the eye).
Soooo....because of all this, I'm now on standby to fly up to New York to help out with my grandson and whatever else. Won't know if or when so, to put an end to this saga, I'm going to ship the cars to the next venue.
Dickie, would that be to your Scales Rd address?
I'm really sorry about this guys but, as we all know, life happens!
As a word of caution, if you don't know what shingles are, if you've ever had chicken pox, you're a candidate...you
don't want it...get a shingles shot!!!
