Default New raceway Eastern Colorado; "In The Groove", opening June 2015

We have purchased the 2 tracks that were previously located in Greeley (Speed Freaks), and are expecting to open in the new location in June 2015. These are 1/24 commercial tracks, running on LapMaster.

Becky, There are quite a few slotheads in the vicinity and I've run at your place with the previous owners albeit a few years back and with a car built for commercial tracks. However, there are quite a few more that will run but for the hard borders on your track. The 1/24 cars (BMRs, ScaleAuto, etc) we run are plastic bodied and they will all but shatter upon high speed impact. Is there any consideration to lining the borders with something to lessen the impact?

There are at least three slot car clubs in CO, the Colorado Slot Car Club, Rocky Mountain Slot Car Club and a vintage car club who's name escapes me at the moment. The latter two are 1/32 and my club, the CSCC runs both 1/24 and 1/32.

Best of luck on your new venture.

That is very good to know; once we are moved in and get the track re-built, we will take that all into consideration! We have personally only tested the track a couple of times before making the purchase and having to dismantle and move it, so there will definitely be a breaking in period while we get it tweaked to perfection again. We'll see what we can retrofit for a liner.
Thanks!

We are located in Elizabeth, but our opening has been postponed indefinitely. the property owner has decided to sell instead of rent, so we are changing our game plan. It would be most helpful if he had a price in mind....
For now, I have 2 King tracks dismantled in storage in my basement. Very sad.

Default In The Groove opening postponed to later 2015

Due to local issues with rental properties, we do not have an opening date set at this time. Please stay tuned!

Default Track in E-town

Becky, at the current time there is no where to race in the Denver area, with the demise is of Speed Freaks and I hear Jim's track in Longmont may be going under as well. Very sad....BUT...I know someone who has a king track and others that is in the same predicament you are with rental snafus.
Maybe we can pool resources here? I'll put him in contact with you if that's ok?

Default tracks in Denver

Yes, that is fine. We are really motivated to sell; our Hillclimb sold quickly to a private party, and the King is from Speed Freaks, also.
There is a private owner in the Longmont area, don't know if he means to compete with the businesses in that area.
We had 2 interested buyers, but they have vanished. I also have the entire inventory from Speed Freaks.
thanks for your inquiry, sorry if I my reply is untimely; I just got home from the hospital. (another reason to sell soon)
Thanks again, Becky

An update to your original inquiry; the King track and inventory is for sale. Decent price for buyer willing to take it ALL. The Hillclimb was sold to a private party, and is being assembled in a private home for a hobbyist.
We are unable to find a location in our immediate area large enough to set up the King, so will choose a different business venture in the future.
We are motivated to sell, as it is all stored in our basement and we have family moving in with us!
Thanks again,Becky

I've only joined this group since March, and we are now selling our commercial King track. Hoping to find a buyer to make a decent offer, as we also have an entire store's worth of slot car accessories, about $11000 retail value.
Thanks for the welcome!
Becky
