Default Looking for routed track maker

I found a company that does modular routed tracks a while ago and I, for the life of me, can't remember their name. One of their designs was an 8'x16' Riverside track. If anyone knows of this company's name, I'd really appreciate it. Or, just shoot a few routed track makers' names out there and I'll see if I recognize them. Thanks in advance.

Hi Tom, is this the type of track you're thinking of?

If so, these are pictures I took at Alan's Scaleracing Centre in Tacoma a couple of years back when he was putting it all together.

I don't recall the manufacturer's name, but I believe he sourced it thru Cric Crac in Spain. Give him a call on 1.253.255.1807 and he'll be able to help, I'm sure.

Cheers, Paul

Brad Bowman, who is famous for his very fine HO tracks, also builds 1/32nd tracks. Brad has a forum on this BB. http://www.bradstracks.com/

Thanks for the info guys. I wish I could afford a Slot Mods track, but it seems they are only for the rich among us. I've checked Brads site and it's not him. It could have been a small time operation and maybe they aren't around any more. Anyway, thanks for the help.

You can try cruzn Bob.
He built a nice 8 lane track for our local hobby shop a few years .
I believe he is located in AZ.

Default routed track

There was a company couple years ago that routed modular sections and sent them to you. He had several different turns and you could pick the routed pieces you wanted and order them. Different lane spacing, and # of lanes were couple of the options.
I think it was "slot fire" "fire slot" or something like that.
The pieces looked finished in black. This was 2 computers ago, so the link i had is gone.
It may have been someone in UK.

Found one. "slotfire" in Germany. will PM you

Tom, I used Gary Gerding to make my track. I provided the layout and he routed the track sections, installed the braid , and shipped them to me. Assembly was simple. I added the scenery after installation. Please feel free to PM me for details.

Another track maker is Jim Silknitter in Omaha. Look up Silky's Custom Slotcar Tracks on Facebook. He's an old timer who has done everything from small home tracks to large commercial tracks. I've had the chance to drive one of his tracks (at his home), and "Silky" is an appropriate name. It was very smooth.

Dan Cronin of Viper Scale Racing can do very nice CnC routed 1/32 tracks. He's like Bowman-- does HO--but he also does 1/32. Check with him too!

Is there a routed track maker for 1/32 (1/24) on the east coast? shipping could make purchasing from a west coast maker a tad costly..

Another modular slot car track maker was RaceMaxx by slotcarworkshop.c_m. IT looks like it is not around anymore. Went to website and got godaddy web hosting page. last posting on youtube was from 5 yrs ago.
Looking at the videos, sounds like his special was MDF with a epoxy finish.
