Anyone around here driven and/or reviewed one of these cars (preferrable one of the newer ones)? They look nice.

Cool looking cars, but I wonder about how the gears mesh. He seems to be using an anglewinder setup with straight cut gears. Seems like you'd chip a few teeth after a while.

This setup has been used in 1/24 racing for quite a number of years with success.

Beautiful cars, I've been waiting for a mainstream manufacturer to make a Daytona Prototype (or a Mark I Capri!), looks like he beat them to it! As far as the straight cut gears on the anglewinder, that is what we ran for over thirty years when I raced 1/24 cars. No problem.

Sideways Slot Cars by Racer will be producing The Riley Mk XX. These cars are meant sell for prices in the same range as Slot.it, NINCO, etc.
