Default 1/24 Ferrari 250 GTO slot car from K&B - modified

This was a tough car to do. First, the cars windows are already glued in from the factory and when I say glued, I mean there is NO way to break the window free from the car. Because of this I had to mask the windows in order to paint. I also lowered the car which was pretty easy but took sometime to do. The wheels I got off ebay but I can't remember what they were. I believe they were from Japan and the name begins with S so if anybody knows the name, thanks in advance. The wheels set the car off real well and was a great mod.

Hi

I have a friend in Baltimore with a well used original which, everytime we get together, just spanks my K&Bs, it is the fastest I have seen. But, of course, it is in RED and we all know how THAT alone makes the car faster. grin

Very clean work, and what a nice body. I have a K&B Cobra Daytona that is not so accurate in form (Tony Bulone was the sculptor), and it has those same solidly emplaced windows (I believe they are molded in place, not glued). It would look better to me if the body wasn't lowered so much, though.

Crap! Every time I get back up off of the floor I see another of your cars and fall out of my chair again! I'm going to have to start wearing a helmet and elbow pads to read this forum.

Fantastic work as usual! I like K&B cars a lot. They are pretty decent handling cars on my Monogram layout. Not too much speed and pretty compatable with my Monogram cars of the era.
