Hey Guys, Here are the pics form last fridays race, race was also a close one and the win going to Tom (congrats buddy), I had problems in practice with braid and lead wire connections and it got me in the final heat where my car slowed down to a 6.3, oh well thats racing, Serge's problem was that he was using my F40 backup hopefully his is up to speed next week, see you all Friday
Even practice will not make me faster. Oh I did have one more lap as I completed one sliding down the front straight on my roof. The DP gets one last chance this week. Should it fail I will dig into the stack of race bucks I have been collecting for a new ride.
Race 5 of the super Series turned out to be a good one. We had 7 Drivers running for the Win. The track was a tad on the slow side but the racing was heated none the less.

As awaited, the Race Report. The Racing was especially hot tonight!
Serge had said a few things early in the week....something about "being back". Only time would tell.
We had 6 Entries in a what seemed to be slow evening....with the 3rd race it turned out to be just fine.
Serge, Tom and Phil all came out with Fast Cars and the Will to Win.
Serge edged out the later to claim the spot. Nice Drive man! Is he really "back"?.....we will find out next week.
Tom took 2nd and Phil keeps his Championship hopes alive with a 3rd.
Achim deserves an honorable mention with a solid 191!
Here were the totals:
Serge 199.900
Tom - 195.125
Phil - 194.250
Achim - 191.750
Bill B - 182.375
Jim T - 179.150
Fast Laps:
Serge - 5.744
Tom - 5.905
Phil - 5.919
Achim - 5.959
Bill B - 6.125
Jim T - 6.281
That was the Race. Going into the last 4 Races things are tightening up and it should be real close for the Championship. I will try to do the totals this week.
Thanks to everyone that came out!
See you all Sunday or Friday, whichever comes first.
Oh I think hes back allright, Serge had a fast car for only building it an hour before the race with little to no practice and pulling 5.7's WOW, I knew truing his tires for him would come back to haunt me LOL, seems to be a DP track this series, will have to pull out my new Shell DP this week as I think its ready as the F40 is getting a little slow and inconsistant, its going to be close in this series aswell, See you all Friday
This is how it went down last Friday night. We had a bunch of racers in the house and many races going on. 7 threw their hat in the ring for the Modified Race.
Serge would show again that he is the man with the motors........that DP is fast! He ran three 40+ Lap heats that sealed his run for the checkers.
Tom came out with a new car and showed some amazing speed. Give him a couple weeks and that Nissan should be flying. Tom also ran a clean race to take the Second Place spot.
Phil as always put a fast car on the track. The only problem is he lent out a Faster Car to John!!! He still had a fine run to take the last spot on the podium.
Lastly I would like to mention that Johnny Slots was out again and had a Fantastic Run with Phils Car. 4th Place with these guys on the track is a Great Result! Nice Run John!
Here are the totals:
Serge - 197.750
Tom - 193.500
Phil - 192.450
Johnny - 185.950
Achim - 184.900
Bill B - 184.100
Bill G - 181.100
Fast Laps:
Serge - 5.805
Tom - 5.864
Phil - 5.969
Johnny - 5.994
Achim - 6.149
Bill B - 6.100
Bill G - 6.235
Thats it! Thanks to everyone that attended. See you all Friday for Race #8. More race results comming soon!
Hey Guys, Here is a pic of the podium for race #7, Serge was on his game thats for sure and Tom with a new Nissan was also real fast and consistant, Thats what it takes, Last week I said I was going to run my DP this week ended up running the old reliable F40 and was my demise LOL, not next week as I think Johnny broke in the DP for me now its Race worthy, also building up my new Renown Mazda, gotta quit lending out the quicker cars (just kidding cars always available for loan), according to the stats the top 5 in points look think this with 2 drops in affect:
Tom 46
Phil 44
Serge 34
Ronnie 30
Bill B
It's going to be close at the end, See you all Friday
Thanks for the loaner Phil ... and I'll take whatever you can lend me this coming Friday! And although I do have one of your cars for the Slot.it class, I'll be happy to help you break in another one of your cars there too if you want!
Oh, and next time let's try not to "race" each other!
No problem John stable always open although that Rothmans Porsche you have that I built is fast fast and should have no problem keeping up with the rest of the field in the Porsche series, finished setting up the new Renown Mazda with narrow aluminum front/back and a 29K sidewinder geared at 10/34 for now to see if I can get brakes with this motor, I think its time to retire the ToTip F40 for a while and concentrate on the DP's and Mazda.
Here are the pics from Fridays race #8, sorry no podium pics camera mishap LOL, 2 to go boys the race is on for the Championship and Tom is showing the way, See you all friday
