Default OLMS Round 3 Official Results and Standings

Due to the G20 and the arrival of Doug, we started later than normal at 7:20. Qualification set the standard as Ron got the pole in the Scaleauto Toyota GT1, followed by Art in his NSR powered DB9, Al in his Scaleauto Radical, Paddy in the Ninco Acura and Doug in the Spirit Dallara.....it was a portent to what would follow.
In the first heat Art threw down the gauntlet and ripped off 151 laps and a fast lap of 4.576, trailed by Paddy and Doug...Al joined the fray next and won his heat with a 149 lap total and a fast lap of 4.572. Ron rolled out the Toyota for a blistering 157 laps and a new lap record of 4.358, followed by Al with a 155 lap total and a fast 4.479 lap. Al's car blew up and he was forced into his backup with a 1 minute penalty, Art's car hit the floor and exploded both his wing and perhaps pace. The Toyota rolled on...
In the end there was amazing dicing with Doug and Paddy going nose to tail for 20 lap stints, thanks to Art's design of the squeeze section. Passing on this track will always be an issue for equal cars.
The results were pretty much in line with qualifying:
Ron 1850 laps and a fast lap of 4.358
Art 1802 laps and a fast lap of 4.570
Al 1778 laps and a fast lap of 4.479
Paddy 1696 laps and a fast lap of 4.764
Doug 1672 laps and a fast lap of 4.738

Driver Standings after 3 rounds:
Ron 68
Art 61
Al 40
Paddy 27
Van 24
Doug 10
Ashley 10

Sounds epic! Sorry I missed it. For the billion dollars the G20 cost they could build a subway from downtown to each of the tracks in this series. See you guys next time with a new ride.
