A fee of $6,455 was paid in full, in good faith for a turn key track.
I would not expect to receive any portion less & @ this point would
be completely reluctant to accept anything but full $$$ compensation.

I gave them a nudge on facebook, asking them to come on this forum and sort out your problem. Apart from saying that there are two sides to every story, they did not have much to say.

Default Any luck yet ?

David .. I am soooo grateful for the information regarding this company. I was/am seriously considering a custom made track and was impressed by the TKO site/history etc. The fact is, I do not care how busy they were with opening a store, they needed to take care of their customers. Absolutely unbelievable. I hope you have gotten or can get some of your money back, this is completely inexcusable.

Wow- a deposit is one thing.
They cashed this guy's check for SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED BUCKS?
Wow- I'd be having a face to face with him.
I'm not gonna say anything else because I'm new here, but that is total BS!
Well- buyer beware I suppose- you lose $50, 100, even 500. If you can take a lesson from it... life goes on. $6500? Screw that.

Give Todd @ TKO a call, 717-827-3028 . I think there is about a 8-10 week lead time at this moment.

Does anyone know if the OP or David Owens got satisfaction? If not then anyone ordering from TKO needs a head scan. Even if they did I for one would not give them a cent of my money.

I hear from the attorney general. That tko would like to send some money to me. And then send me monthly payments. This was sent NOVEMBER 10, 2011. I have not seen any payments.I call todd but he did not call me back.Todd also indicated the track was complete. And i would also be open to receive the track and deduct the monies owed to me from the total.I will let people no what going on .

If the track is really ready to ship and you have already paid the full price you would probably be better off taking delivery. I don't think that it would be a good idea to take a refund in installments. When I bought my HO track twelve years ago I put down half of the price and delivery was supplsed to be in six months. I ended up waiting eleven months, but it was worth it.

Absolutely. If the track is really ready get in your truck and go pick it up tomorrow. Sort out the rest later.

Custom tracks are a 'do-it-yourself' project, so the owner would have to sort anything that breaks.

You know what I thought would be cool? A mobile track production unit! (MTPU, for short)
Ever seen the trucks that do the seamless gutters?
Big roll of the gutter material and formed (seamlessly, obviously) to whatever length needed right there on the job site.
So.... A hopper full of black (or grey!) pellets that gravity feed into a melting unit and a machine that inserts the rails right there.
"I need a 21.75' straight" "Coming right up sir"
"Then, I need a 15-3/4" straight with an integrated 9" radius curve"
Now, that'd be cool!
Wow, no more alcohol for me tonight.
