Thanks backatcha to Bob, Zach, Scott, Ian, Dwight and Freeman for making the trip up to NJ. Highlight for me was Dwight laughing at folks falling off in the first couple of rotations, then he proceeded to consistently fall off during his first few rotations...
Anyway, hopefully you enjoyed it enough to come back up soon. Most, if not all of us needed a few trips to the track to feel comfortable with it, I'm still trying to get as comfortable with the track as Dinky and Mankin.
Remember...we're running the same cars at The Race Place this Saturday

Thanks to all the guys who came out for the first time, we missed you N.Y.& upper P.A. guys. Hope to see you all in full effect mode this saturday @ the Raceplace. Uncle bob I want your autograph. Don you did your thing, great for your first time out. Where's glen? I hear the out of state boys overheard him talking about his scaleauto dominating everyone. Now there's a bounty on his matmut Porsche. Lol
On the contrary, I want Dinky's autograph. You and Mr. Mankin will hopefully receive a tax deduction for the gift win you gave me, either of you would've easily won by 10 laps or more if you ran the whole race.
I think Glenn had a back injury, hopefully will make it this coming weekend.
...and can somebody slip Don some 5 hour energy?------------

Hi fellow racers, glad you had a big turn out at last week's race. Last week- yes, i "blew out" my back, pinched psiatic nerve, unable to bend over, walk, lift, etc...
last month- i had a commitment for that Saturday afternoon that got cancelled at about noon, so no time to make it to that race..........
today's race at The Race Place got canceled early due to the snow storm, but as of right now a few racers are heading down there for an informal race. We will reschedule that big race for next Saturday the 28th. I am fighting off a fresh caught cold today and don't want to spread my germs around.
My Matmut Porsche dominating? Well, when we first started racing Scaleautos, i caught some flak as it seemed to dominate in speed, but now that other racer's cars are getting broken in and finely tuned, it is anyone's race. The Scaleauto cars are so evenly matched out of the box that anyone can make a podium finish.
I am really looking forward to a great 2012 season of racing Scaleauto and BRM cars here in New Jersey, where there is a lot of excitement about SCALE racing!
Can we cut down on track calls? At both NJ Speed Zone and The Race Place, maybe just the straight in front of the drivers, and the underpass would be track calls; let every thing else be marshalled? Exception being if we don't have a marshall for a corner, that becomes a track call as well.
Last race at Speed Zone dragged on a bit due to a lot of track calls. I know some may be concerned with their cars laying prone out of the slot, liable to be damaged by another car running into it. I can understand the concern, but if we learn to either waiting for a marshall to clear it, or gently 'nudging' the car out of the way at a slow speed (remembering you should go slow as your car may be damaged also), I believe it'll lead to a smoother race.
Anybody else feel this way? If enough folks agree, can we try this? It's worked well in a few groups I've raced with lately, and our Maryland racers have been doing this for a while as well.
Thanks.

All in favor say I.. There you have it , no longer is it a track call when bob holts car becomes a rider in anyone's lane . Here yee here yee.hope it's insured
? Why is it always the last guy to show up is the first one that wants to leave. Next race I'm coming late. How can a race drag on when you not even there on time, every time . Dose anyone else feel this way luv u uncle bob!
Can I have a real answer on this, or is that the real answer? If so, please let me know what questions are in scope, and what are not and shouldn't be asked.

In case any of the above was pointed toward me:
1. I never said anything about being the first to leave, and was not the first to leave.
2. I was on time for the 2nd race, which in my opinion, dragged on. If I'm not supposed to express my opinion in this particular forum, apologies, won't happen again. But I know there were at least 4 folks at that race that had the same comments about the track calls.
3. When I can't make a race on time, I let either the race organizer, or someone at the track know, they should start without me. I NEVER ask folks to hold up a race until I get there, and when they tell me they're going to do so, I ask them not to. There's times they insist on waiting, but it's not my request or choice, it's theirs. So let me know if it's best that if I feel I'll be too late for the first race, I'll just stay clear of the track until that race is over, and will participate in the 2nd race. I'll still help with marshalling or whatever's needed for the 1st race though.
4. If the number of track calls we have for these races at NJ Speed Zone isn't an issue for the race organizers, no problem, at least I know what to expect.
Thanks.
