When unpacking the cars I assessed the following damage and would like to know how you want me to proceed? Am I allowed to repair these cars? If so who authorizes the repair? Owner? Race Director? Will the cars receive any penalties. I have to say all these cars ran in the Suzuka Round of the proxy as the pictures show, as far as I can tell there is no performance disadvantage right now.
The way things are shipped it wouldn't surprise me When I repacked the cars to move them from track to track I could barely fit them all in, but I had noticed on opening them when they arrived I could have fitted 3 or 4 more in the case
I do not see how that could have happened. When they left here they were all tightly packed. I really would like to know what happens in transit. Every car is in bubble wrap in a hard side case in a cardboard box. What is the postal service doing with them? It really is no wonder they are going out of business.

My condolences to my fellow racers! This is one of my big fears when I send a car, shipping damage. I don't mind a bit of race damage, so long as the cars aren't abused.
I hope the damage isn't from shipping...
I would have thought the gun case would have protected them more than well enough.
But I guess if they drop it hard enough, the cars could crush each other?
As for repairs, in these cases, these are "performance" related, so fixing them as best as you can with the owner's permission is ok by me..
For the #81 car, the rear fender was cracked before it even got sent, so that's nothing as far as I'm concerned. I did try gluing back together, but apparently that has failed. I say...Run it!!
Well that body looks stuffed! Looks like the box was either poor quality, too small or somone just did not care at all!
It would handy to know IF this was race damage or shipping damage and IMO should have been noted by one of the hosts either before or after their round.
Years ago one of Greg's cars was damaged during a race incident and not reported BUT the next host soon let me know how the car was received by him.

My condolences ! Phil , I can say that your car arrived and finished Cloverleaf intact . The fact that there was space in the case upon arrival at Suzuka makes me think that the case had a fall somewhere , because those puppies were packed in there like sardines .Very carefully packed sardines , that is .
Just for the record, I am not accusing anyone of not handling these cars as if they were their own, except maybe for the post office. I suspect, but can't prove, that the box was dropped on an end which would cause pressure on the cars irrespective of the bubble wrap. Without a structure that seperates all the cars individually you will have 14 cars pushing down on one car should the box be dropped on an end. You also have to remember that a lot of the cars do not have fitted interiors or stock glass so forces will be absorbed by the A/B and C pillars.
I will repair what I can. Phil if you want me to put a piece of piano wire in the B pillar on the Volvo just let me know.
Thank for the effort, happy for you to do what you can to keep the car in the event. The body looks pretty RS so maybe you can do something. Thanks.
I do know what the postal workers do with things, I have received 2 damaged packages this week and one over Christmas. Then one that has taken 5 weeks by Priority from the US to arrive.
