"#8chenglaw Hard to drive"
"#8 chenglaw Front end standing high and hopping a lot"
It's funny how a car's characteristics can change so fast from round to round in a proxy. The Lotus was easy to drive (apart from losing tyre grip halfway through a heat) and no front end wheelies and hopping were reported by Ronan in the previous round. Just wondering if something could have been bent in transit. Anyway, thanks for the race, Alexis and congrats to the 3M's for their podium finishes.
Thanks to Alexis and all the crew for running such an efficient round. And congrats to mista Kouba for taking the top Oregonian spot as well as all those that finished above me. My heartfelt condolences to those few below me.
My congrats to Mike and Matt and Alexis on their results.
Many thanks, Alexis, for finding the problem with my car and fixing it before it ruined my race.
Nevertheless, that was my car's worst result of the series to date. It was all going so well, it couldn't last....

I'm not sure what you meant by the above. That you screwed it back in tight so it wouldn't come loose again? I think I had put some BluTac or plasticene in the body mount posts so the screws would hold even after backing them off per instructions on the underside of the car. Perhaps that material has disappeared? It's a pity if the body cannot now be run a little loose.
Will there be a second race in Greece, or will the IPS circus now move on to Canada?
What scoring program are you using to be able to glean all this information from?
Ken
PClapcounter, but you have to pay attention when racing fixed time(as opposed to fixed laps)
under certain conditions it doesnt provide correct data
If you check my results and biedmatt's first segment, the program gives me 17 laps 191,813 sec
and biedmatt 16 laps 180,604 sec but in 180 sec(3 min) we raced 15,95304 15,94649 respectively,a tiny difference of 0,00655 laps as opposed to the programs 1 complete lap.The worst is it carries this difference over to the next segment. And it ranks the cars according to the total of completed laps
regardless of time spent on track.

Exactly,i found the screw loose in the box, screwed it in position then after the shakedown run i noticed the screw was gone again. Was lucky to find it and as a quick fix i tightened it.What do you prefer locktite or blue tack?

As a first time host for an IPS round you have done a stellar job Alexis, This is the way all the rounds should be reported with updates during the race, well documented performance and results plus photos of all the cars. I think of proxy racing as sending one of my children on holiday, then getting photos and the story of what they encountered on their trip. Thank you, your skilled drivers and all your help for putting on a fine race. Ken
Thank you and the rest of the guys for your kind words but the first one to take credit for this round is Chris Niskopoulos, owner of Creative Hobby(importer of allmost all the major brands except Scalextric),who provided the facility and carried allmost all of race management task,it is due to him ,who was the first to create a permanent track and start doing races in Greece, back in 2006,that our hobby expands in this country.
Cant remember but it didnt stand out as slow accelerating or braking .Next round is wednesday and i plan to run a shakedown on tuesday with more time at my disposal so i'll give better feedback, this time everything was done in a hurry

A small wad of Blue Tack (or something similar) stuffed inside the mounting posts should be good enough to hold the screws in a slightly loosened position.
Alexis can you give me some info on #6 Bopalou corvette?.. Hope #6 will do better going in the opposite direction, it seems to really struggle on your track.
