Default SCX Compact loopinator

Folks, did you see this in Allen's gallery from Nurnberg?

the loops will for sure push the sales :/

BUT it´s good to see that SCX compact has the money to show up on in Nurnberg!
I see the Vette and Porsche, so i think these are very good news!

hhhmmm interesting. i know from experience that the porsches can do the loop, but not the DTM, nascar, tuner or seat unless they are modified (which I did when my son wanted the loops). So likely SCX will only focus on cars whose riding height allows them to do the loop or go the carrera way with larger wheels. either way it is good to see scx back in 1/43!

The Carrera F1 cars have much trouble navigating the loops. Go with short wheelbase cars for the loop track.

I agree with you dclovell i do not like loops at all but real happy to see something new from SCX compact

Does anybody notice on the police race set the track look like a digital track , i know it is only a drawing but my guess is they will bring digital to the 1/43 scale soon (in few months?) not to much choice if they want to keep up with Carrera go digital , anyhow we'll see later this year what SCX will come up with hopefully lots of new cars in both scales

Doubt if it's digital. They had a track system when Compact first came out with an "overtake" track. I believe it was the same technology as the old Artin Power Passers.

Also a couple years ago SCX put out in the overseas market the Construblock sets that looked like they had the overtake track pieces. The Construblock is similar to Lego's. You put the Legos together to make the car.

I'm sure some of the other guys have more and/or better info than I have here...guys...chime in!

I'm not sure what to think.
We all heard that SCX Compact was done, then we see this mock-up that implies it is back.
(They already have the Sonax and Michelin Porsches. I'd kill to get more of them in blister packs!)
I don't care for the loops, but if that is what it takes to keep them in the game, I guess I can live with that. Let's hope this is the real deal!

I total agree...if I have to suffer through loops from Carrera, might as well with SCX if it keeps them in business.

So when is Dslot going to come out with a loop???

Appears that the SCX loop has quite a large diameter... Might be to eliminate front clearance issues?
