I just downloaded the US catalog for Carrera 2013 cars and there are no DTM cars.....seeing that I'm new here in the US, is this the usual case with DTM cars versus the US market? It would really be nice to have those mean looking German monsters here in the US....
Dave Kennedy might chime in here and give us the scoop. The most current (2012/2013) brochure I see on the Carrera US site has DTM cars in it, but it is an "old" brochure and doesn't include any of the new offerings shown at Nuremberg.
Correct the DTM's are not in the US catalog BUT three of them will be coming to the US this year as out of catalog releases (after my requests that they be brought to this market). All will be available only in digital here in the US.
The flat black BMW.
Also, the Etron will be brought to the US market as an out of catalog release:

Along with my boss I decide what get on a special order basis. DTM is not raced here in the US, it is only shown in the US on broadcast MONTHS after the fact almost as filler for Speed. The cars sell in small number throughout the year. We get what we can sell and our decisions are based on what we feel will sell. I'm not going to argue the merits of the series viability here in the US, i'm sure that if DTM was raced here, shown here on a larger scale it would be popular. Until it is, we will get a limited selection of cars.
