  • BRM P167 Can-Am

There is a proposed 3D printed Can-Am proxy on HRW, body, chassis and wheel inserts are to be home 3D printed, and the era of Can-Am is 1966-74.

I already had a UOP DN4 file but not yet found an acceptably good guide mounting, it's something I need to think about before firing up Fusion.

So the guys over there have access to some great cars from the era and I decided on a BRM P167 just to be different and the fact it's British.

If possible I'll fit 12mm wide tyres as that is close to scale size and preferably sidewinder, the body is 62mm wide so may be possible with my latest 3 piece chassis

A coat of etch primer and white automotive paint with the help of a third hand I made out of some expanded plastic foam in about 15 seconds has given me something to work to.

I'm no artist so this won't be a concours jobbie but I'll try to do it justice.

...that rear wing may need fixing with something much stronger than cured resin!

Where's a good place for scale decals?

Pattos in Australia always seem to come up when people ask about decals.

But hopefully you'll check out 132Slotcar first in case they have what you're after.

Looking good Kevan, waiting on some parts for my printer so I can get started on my entry. If it comes out half as nice as yours I’ll be very pleased with myself!
