The Vallejo Rust paint works well, it's had two coats. Driver needs adding (when I find a suitable hillbilly stl) but it's almost there...

DSC_0304_resize_9.jpg It's now got a chassis and with a fairly meek 14k ninco motor goes really nice. This is the first 3° angled motor design and a first 3 point pod for me and it goes well. The 3 pod mounting points are inverted cups printed separately and glued in place with silicone o rings between the pod and chassis.

    - The Moonshine Runner -

    Another project ????

I saw a 3D file for this old 1952 GMC 9300 pickup and had to print it...but it needed modifying first...

Drop in a blown V8 and it was better but then had an idea...a quick search on a 3D file website and I had the bits to make it even more interesting and unique. In the back there's going to be a moonshine still and a rack of moonshine jugs.

It needs tidying and painting, it's just come off the printer this evening.
I've spent a 'few' hours on this and love it.

...those moonshine jugs are only 6.6mm in diameter, I'm chuffed and surprised the tiny handles printed.

Resin prints always feel a little tacky until left for 12 hours so this morning went outside in the sun and gave it a coat of U-Pol black etch primer and it's really brought out the detail.

I need to get some copper paint, some wood colour and quite like the idea of a rust bucket finish for the body.

Chassis will be a new design I've been mulling over, much more simple than the ones I've made of late, maybe even an anglewinder (and I don't race anything with AW config but why the heck not). Chassis like the Thunderslot and Nonnoslot work great and are much simpler than mine.
