The Breadvan can be competitive with the other classic cars but generally speaking being narrower and higher they aren't quite up there with a 512s or 917K. One of the chaps at our club runs one and he has his going really well.
I haven't raced mine yet - still a work in progress. But I have raced the 250GTOs which have the same chassis and they were about 3/10 of a second off the pace but I think I can find that with a bit more tuning/adjustment.
