I'm still chasing down the problem with my track which seems to be an intermittent short circuit.
Today I noticed while running one car on the track that at certain sections of the track the Carrera start light would flicker and my PSU would quickly go into CC or constant current mode. This usually happened on or near a lane change.
I have my voltage set to 16.4 volts and my current limit set to 6 amps and I have a 7.5 amp fuse inline between the CU and the PSU.
I reached out to Mastech customer service and they said that when it momentarily switched to CC mode the track was exceeding the 6 amp limit I set.
They recommended setting current to maximum on my PSU and trying that.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with their variable power supply? Should I not be setting a current limit and just rely on the inline fuse?
Thanks in advance for any and all help/advice. I've learned so much from this forum and its members.
