Yes you can. The slot it electronic controllers have cartridges that allow them to work with different systems. I personally haven't owned one for several years, I had the SCP-1 for a few years but sold it a couple years ago after not really using it for a couple years before that. Mr Flippant is one of the guys who knows a lot about those controllers.

Yep. Feel free to ask me anything.
You'll need any SCP controller, and the Universal Digital cartridge. Sometimes you can get them together.

The wireless tech is different, and not compatible with the Carrera Digital 2.4Ghz wireless controllers. If you want to use the SCP3, you would also need the wired Digital cartridge (any of them), and the CRI, which is a wireless receiver for the wired cartridge.
If you're looking for a trigger style controller that is wireless and compatible with the Carrera Digital Wireless 2.4Ghz accessory, I believe the Frankenslot is your only choice.
However, I have used the SCP with the CRI and digital cartridge. It works great, and provides excellent control and throttle profile tuning.
Here's what you would need:
SCP3 - https://www.132slotcar.us/product_in...ducts_id=50319
CRI - https://www.132slotcar.us/product_in...ducts_id=36848
And ANY of the SCP Digital cartridges (other than oXigen), even the old ones. I can't find one for sale right now on 132slotcar.us, but I'm sure they can be found somewhere. The version doesn't matter, as they all support Carrera Digital.

I was under the impression that some form of oXigen components or software were needed along with a battery pack
What is required to use an SCP1.1 wirelessly with Carrera digital?
Thanks in advance

Yes, it will work. You'll need the original oXigen cartridge, along with the CRI. The original cartridge was not designed to take a battery, but there various options for battery power, including one I did to my two SCP1 handles that added a switch and a battery inside the handle. It looks like 132slotcar.us has everything needed, even a couple of the external battery options and a package of what's needed.
I have two SCP1 that have oXigen carts and batteries in the handle, as well as an SCP2 with the same set up.
You shouldn't need any software, but there's an LOW chance that the firmware in the handle or CRI might need updating. Alan is usually open to confirming things will work before shipping. So long as the oXigen cart will pair with the CRI, no updates should be necessary.

Thanks Greg. Can you tell me the part #'s of the parts needed. I looked on the site, but am still not sure which ones are the right ones.
Almost forgot... You said it is not compatible with the Carrera 2.4ghz system. Does this mean the slot it controller cannot be used ALONG WITH additional 2.4ghz controllers or the SCP controller just won't connect with the Carrera dongle ?Last edited by 32lbKING; 09-17-2021, 10:35 AM.

You will need:
CRI - SCP201L
oXigen Cart - SCIO202A
Battery Box
Requires 2x rechargeable 3,6V 14500 Li-ion batteries.
If you're OK with a minor modification to the handle and oXigen cartridge, you can get an RC battery and a switch and wire them up inside the handle. There are illustrated guides for this on the internet, but I cannot link to them. Otherwise, use the box linked above, and get the appropriate batteries off Amazon or wherever, and tape that to the side of the SCP (usually over the logo sticker on the back)
There is no problem with combining this and other controllers. I meant only that it doesn't connect directly to the Carrera 2.4Ghz dongle.

I was hoping it would be a bit cheaper. The oxigen cartridge puts every thing at $195 to convert mine. A bit more than I'm willing to pay at this time.
Now I know what would be needed though. Been wondering about that for a while.
I guess for now I'll just use mine wired when driving by myself, and back to the 2.4ghz when others are here.

Yep. Not the cheapest way to go, which is why I recommended the Frankenslot. Most people really just want a trigger controller that's wireless. They don't need all the tweaks. I think they make one with a sensitivity knob, too?
But, it's the most versatile controller of all, and can be used for pretty much any kind of racing with a quick swap of the cartridge.

Yeah, I never got along with them, either. They function, but since I only ever race with trigger controllers, even my AFX as a kid, plungers are just too foreign. If I had no other option, I'm sure I could get used to it... but I do... so I don't. LOL
What did you order? Slot.it or Frankenslot? I don't have any experience with Frankenslot, but expect them to be pretty straight forward. If you need any help with the slot.it stuff, I'm happy to offer any help I can.
