  • Replacement Guide Keel for Mustang

I am looking for a replacement Guide Keel for my Carrera Digital 1:32 Mustang. It broke off when my girlfriend was racing it. The guide keel is different from my other Carrera cars, it is longer and has a point that sticks out that goes into the chassis to restrict the amount of drift. I've looked at some sites but I do not see a part that I am sure is the right part. Does anyone know the part number?

The car is a Ford Mustang GT2005 Streetversion.

I think that car has the old Pro-X chassis style. If so, these should be your guides:

Do they have holes along the length?

Even if you don't have holes in your keel, these may well work if that car has a chassis with a sliding magnet.

Thanks but I don't think either of those are what I need. I will need to take a photo of the current keel. It is extra long and the end of the keel attaches to the bottom of the car to restrict movement. I haven't seen this on any other Carrera car, but I own less than 10 cars so I can't really say what is normal.

The part number for the exact replacement guide for those sliding magnet chassis D132 cars was 89354. I don't think you will find those anywhere. You will likely have to modify a different guide- and you may have to do away with the hook that fits into the magnet pocket.

Crud. I had the same thing happen on a Ferrari Enzo modified to run on digital. Bruce, I think the part you list is the one but I can’t find it anywhere. I wonder if Carrera would release the specs if people have access to 3D printers ...

Thanks for the part number. And I love the hook.
