Ken the MR slotcar gears come in 3 different diameters, you get the right size?
Just asking.
I just bought a MR anglewinder gear ,and didn't realize that they bevel the opposite direction of Slot It gears.
No other experience with MR slot car gearing.
Good Luck,
Steve

Both were 29t because many of our local races require stock gearing. Anyone have any luck with a different tooth count spur gear?

McLaren Spare Parts
Hi Ernie,
Can you buy the Lexan Parts for the McLaren Series? I purchased a white kit after much success with a Yellow one and an Orange one. I painted it Black to create a JPS Livery. Unfortunately the Windscreen arrived split right down the middle.
Kind Regards
David

I apologize for the hassle with the front tires - It was a design oversight on my part and has caused a bit of grief for some racers.
A smaller tire/wheel combination had been a consideration, but only after we had the moulds for the tires and inserts produced. Further delays in production and added costs in making new moulds was the reason we moved forward with the car as is.
Most people I've spoken with have used a smaller front tire, like a Slot It Zero grip along with adding 4 set screws to help locate the front axle height.
I'll do my best to try to alleviate the issue with future releases

The issue is, the car should have been supplied like this and also with decent tyres too..... I love the MR Slotcar offerings, but I wish they would improve QC.

Slot Car Corner Canada has them.
I imagine the USA arm might as well?
One note though, I have found that every gear I've checked is slightly warped. Poor production quality I guess. Hasn't made a performance difference though that I can tell. Wonder if it will mean longevity trouble though.Last edited by Wet Coast Racer; 11-25-2015, 09:04 PM. Reason: Removing Non-Advertiser link. Whatcha thinking, Johnny?

My spur gear has the hole through for the axle bored out too large and the gear will not sit straight or turn when tightened down. None of my other gears will fit with the unique chassis and pod design. I have a beautiful car I can't run. Is anyone selling replacement gears that will work? Can MRSlotcar help out?

They Look Nice ...
This may be the best looking model of the McLaren F1 "short tail" yet. With "go fast" accoutrements no less...
But when are you going to do race liveries ?
That is when I can get excited about the car ...

Ernie has apologised for the rubbing issue earlier on.
Found your tyre truer??? Golly, how'd it get lost.
Mine are used almost daily. After a race or two ie, 10 to 15 minutes track time, soft rubbers usually need re-truing.

I know I have to pack mine in 12 to 18 months time, and despite being mostly organised, there is a lot of cave to stow away.
