Old Scorpius hardware still good?

Hi,

For various reasons I have been out of slot car racing for the last few years, but currently planning to "get the band together";-)

I have a box of Scorpius hardware in the basement, mostly from the very first production batch, some from the second batch. Can't really remember when, but some years ago. Still works, I assume.

Question is, can this 1st generation of dongles, chips, lane brains and controllers use the latest available firmware?
Can the 1st generation stuff be mixed with current hardware without issues?
Are ProfessorMotors now the sole distributor of Scorpius hardware?

Sorry for the inactivity here, it's a busy time of year. Yes, your old hardware is good. PM is now the sole worldwide distributor of Scorpius hardware, Rick recently phased out the mail order part of his business to save time and money.
