Wireless PC driven ghost cars for analog

You can also put a rubber band on your controller for constant speed. What's on the table here is a recorded car that plays back exactly what you recorded, ie fast in the straights and all sorts of variable speeds through corners.

Understand it would be handy to control an analogue car and this is on the list of things to do.

Between Scorpius WIreless (SW) and oXigen (OX) I see three different options for having a ghost car on an analog track:
1. SW RMS, SW Dongle, and SW WAM. Runs an analog car at a constant speed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=-tCLUDo9Q1Q
2. SW RMS, SW Dongle, 2x SW Lane Brains, SW Controller, SW Chipped Car, jump one lane so its always powered. Runs a digital car at variable speeds.

I like option 1, but wish it could run at variable speeds. Perhaps by recognizing an analog lap counter like trackmate.
I think option 2 is waaay overkill for an analog track. Perhaps magnets can be used instead of the lane brains?
Option 3 is nice and cheap, but it does require a digital car.

I'm missing something. If it's an analog track there is no lane changing so if you put a ghost car on it how do you get around it?
