So in another thread I mentioned kids have sticky fingers at the events I do... and my controllers were gunky and some of the silver paint was wearing away.
So I started cleaning the gunk off to repaint them... and this was the result of cleaning them with IPA.
The IPA ate away the silver paint, but apparently the SCX text has a protective layer over it, so it did not eat that away... so I decided they look good enough like this, not going to paint yet. Might paint with Plasti-Dip later.
If anyone does this, WEAR gloves... the silver paint will paint your hands silver if you don't, and there is no telling what is in that silver china paint.
