Bnova MRRC to Slot.It guide adapter?

Hi,

Is there an adapter that will work to convert the MRRC Sebring chassis guide holder to take a Slot.It guide (CH85 is the guide that I'd like to use)? If so, I will purchase one.

I tried to use the Scalextric to Slot.It guide adapter, but and the OD of the adapter tube is too large.

Just trim post to length, stick it in there, and screw it in!

I tried that, but the Slot,It guide post s a very loose fit for the Sebring chassis guide hole on the car that I'm working with (Porsche 911S). I'd like to get a better fit if I can. Without an adapter there's also quite a bit of space between the bottom of the Sebring guide hole and the top of the Slot.It guide.

I'd like to get a better fit if I can. The height I can handle with guide washers, but the slop in the guide hole just doesn't feel right.

That's why I mentioned trimming post to length.

Perhaps a small strip of clear packaging shells, a soda bottle, or the shell that comes covering slot.it cars for shimming post to holder...

Forget the BNova / Slot.It guide thing. Just grab a pack of these SC-1603 or SC-1604 guides from Scaleauto. Which one is up to you and the track you run one.
These fit the MRRC chassis perfectly and fit the BNova just as perfectly.

Those will be loose in the MRRC too...

No they will not be loose in an MRRC chassis. These have a larger diameter shaft than say a slot.it guide.......or even the sc-1607 / 1608. Those guides all have 3.3mm dia shafts. The 1603 / 1604 have 3.7mm dia shafts

And by the way. I did not make it up. I did in fact fit the -1604 guide to an MRRC Sebring chassis.

It looks like the 1603/4 will fit the MRRC well, but they will not fit the bnova adapters as you stated, unless bnova has diferent id adapters... My 1607 guides fit with no room to spare in my scalextric adapters from bnova.

You will need guide shims. I ended making my own. Did notice a BNova 1/32 piece turned upside down makes a perfect shim on my Porsche 910.

If the 1607 have a 3.3mm (.130) shaft it should be loose as the GM-1's are drilled at approximately 3.9 MM (#23 .154 dia). The 1603/4 should fit fine.

From the pic that you posted, I cant' see any difference between the 1603 and the 1604 Scaleauto guides. What is the difference?

Got my answer: 8.3mm vs. 7.0mm thicknesses; both home racing guides; 1604 advertised for plastic track. I ordered both, we'll see which one works best for the cars. Not sure where the red color came from.....................?
