My 1:32 Track Build

I'm totally impressed with this whole project. Gotta love the details, like the steps to the Dunlop bridge (probably some Fly trucks encouraged this, I'm guessing).
I have a pretty extensive music collection and have been listening to my CDs during the room build. My turntable is only in my main system. I have listened to all my progressive rock, classical, blues, jazz, oldies, new age discs and now rock discs in alphabetical order. I am now at Rick Wakeman. So almost done!

Update for 17 February 2020.
This track is set in the late 1960's so I am using hay bales rather than tires for lining barrier areas. I used 0.5 x 0.5 balsa wood cut to 1.0-inches long. Then painted with white glue and dredged in whole Thyme. Then sprayed with Testors Dull Coat clear to seal the Thyme. I just need to add baling wire to finish.

I am using Trackmate timing system with the dead-strip option. I had to modify my control stations to accommodate switching the dead-strip and track polarity simultaneously when changing direction. So I replaced the Double pole - Double throw (DPDT) direction switch with a Four pole - Double throw (4PDT) switch. I wired everything on my workbench and verified operation before installing on the track. Works great.

I finished the scratch built bleachers and placed them in two areas on the track. The areas will also feature television stands (bought in England). I am painting the cameras and operators now. The lights are functioning LED's from Woodland Scenics.

I installed two Miller Engineering animated billboards in two corners. They are designed to be installed on a building rooftop so I made cement foundations for placing in the dirt hillside. They really come alive when they are illuminated. I also have two rotating signs, also illuminated, that I will put near the pit building.

I am now working on the pit building and scene. It will have a lot of detail with figures and tools.
I am also up to Wishbone Ash on my music playlist. I am hoping to get thru my Yes collection before I am finished. ZZ Top may have to crank when I a finally get to running some laps - with a lot of bourbon and scotch!

A truly awesome track...detail is amazing, thanks for sharing.
Nice to see you about again......
I think it was you and Pinto Girl were the two who consigned me to the bronze step on the podium in the Slot.it Shoot out a number of years back.

More progress - March 5, 2020:
Working on the pit scene. Still have to add more tools and figures. Figure bases will be trimmed and then figures glued in place.

April 2020 Status - Pretty Much Done
So I finally finished the 132 track. See photos below. The pit scene came out very well - lots of detail. I did finish the build listening to my last ZZ Top disc. Good timing. I now need to clean up the room, move tools back to cabinets in my garage, add more art work and track lighting. And a couch.
Kind of weird not having build tasks anymore. Looks like I will now start to play with everything. Took over four years from start to finish on the whole room. I do have about 300 plastic car models to assemble for the display cabinets.

Also, your tracks are fantastic. I'm quite jealous of those who are fortunate enough to be your friend... never mind you. ;-)
