            I live in Southeastern MA.
There is a group of us that race on a routed tracks in Hull, Framingham, and Ashland. The track in Ashland is at Modelville Hobby and there is a 1/32 scale race there tomorrow (9/9) night. Doors open at 6 and racing should start around 7. This will be with Revo cars with no traction magnets. New people are always welcome and loaner cars and controllers are available. No digital tracks at this point, but some of the guys racing here might be interested in trying it out.

Personally, I had a Carrera track before I took it down and put up an H.O. track. I liked the width, surface, and the stainless steel rails on the Carrera track. Never had any issues with power loss or corrosion. I switched to H.O. because that was what the clubs in the area were racing at the time.

Feel free to message me and I can give you details and get you on the mailing list if interested.

            -Paul

Borders are a good idea no matter what, but definitely when running magless, even with 1/32 cars. Last thing you want is a deslot just because you slid a little wide and dropped a wheel off the edge.

We don't have a date for the Policar (oXigen) lane changer track. I certainly wish we did, but I'm sure slot.it are playing it safe what with all the supply chain problems these last couple years.

I get what you say on the borders, makes sense.

Not sure I want to wait for Policar so I might go ahead with Carrera. I'm considering buying two different sets. Below are the prices and what I'd end up with.
Carrera 23630 Born To Perform, Digital 124 Set w/Wireless Controllers $505.00
Carrera 30015 DTM Speed Memories, Digital 132 Set, Wireless w/Lights $375.00
                Total $880.00
                1x Carrera 30986 BMW M4 DTM "B.Spengler, No.7"
                1 x Carrera 30987 Mercedes AMG C 63 DTM "P.Wehrlein, No.94"
                1 x Carrera 23911 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R "No.3"
                1 x Carrera 23913 Porsche 911 RSR "Project 1, No.57"
                2 x Control Units (30352)
                4 x Wireless Controllers
                2 Wireless Double charging stations
                2 x Wireless Receivers
                22 x Standard Straights (20509)
                20 x 1/60 Curves (20571)
2 x Double Lane Change Section
1 x Right Single Lane Change Section
4 x Outside Shoulders for Straights
12 x Inside shoulders for Curves
12 x Outside shoulders for curves
                End Pieces for shoulders
                1 x 14.8 Volt Transformer
                18 Volt Transformer
My thinking is I would end up with 2 sets of cars, 1/24 and 1/32, lots of track, and buying sets seems less expensive that individual pieces. I know I would still want to add other pieces but I'd like to hear thoughts on whether you think this makes sense.

                Thanks Brian

There is really nothing redundant is the pieces you would get. Having an extra Control unit is always a good idea. Unfortunately the only downside is all the standard curves. I would have thought that the 1/24 set would at least have 2/30 curves but apparently not. Other than getting a set of 2/30 curves (and borders) along with another set of borders for the 1/60 curves you should be good to go for now.
