Like many folks out there I have been frustrated by how easy it is to strip the hex drive of the tiny set-screws used in 1/32nd scale cars. Both the screws and the hex key drivers. I have spent some time looking for set-screws that use the stronger 'Torx' drive system, small enough for our cars. Without any luck.
Al Smith, who sponsors this website, messaged me yesterday to make me aware that his company, 132slotcars.us, carries a Slot.It brand product that might be just what we need.

To be truthful (not something I do very often) I'm not sure if the set-screws included in this kit are small enough for our applications. I don't know if 'T3' translates to 'M3'. If that is so I think these set-screws would be too large. All of other set-screws listed on the Slot.It web site are M2 or M2.5. But the fact that Slot.It is offering them makes me think they should fit their wheels and/or gears. TBD.
I am continuing to research set screws with Torx drives. That search is complicated by the fact that set screws are also known as 'grub screws' and that Torx drives are also known as 'Star drives' and 'Hexalobular drives'. I have had no luck searching McMaster-Carr, Grainger, MSCDirect, Fastenal, Amazon and eBay for M2 and M2.5 screws.
Still looking. I'll report back if I find something.
