    Right now you are running on Scalextric Wall Packs? if so, depending on which version they are around 16 volts AC unregulated. The Sport Power Base converts to DC.

    So although it might appear 35 ohms is too little resistance for control it is at least due to the voltage.

    Regarding amperage, the cars can only use what they demand, magnet cars possibly around 2 amps start up each. We sell a 0-30volt 10 amp supply which is good for at least 2 lanes, we often run our 4 lane demo track on one.

    Your Parma controllers will give much more control at 10 -12 volts regulated power.
